It’s a freezing June night in Sydney but the city is packed with masses of people all headed out to see the city lights. Yes, it’s the annual Vivid light festival! Couples, families, travellers you name it, they all come out to play. And then of course, there are the keen photographers – camera in one hand, tripod in the other, like workers with their morning coffee which they never go without. I have a thing or two to learn about taking photos, but I gave it a shot anyhow.
The Sydney Opera House light display was synchronised to music. This area was sooo crowded and I came across a man with one of those elevated tripods (see photo below). I realised those are the type of camera holders which people use for selfies! Have you seen photos taken with such holders? They are a very smart idea!
The Museum of Contemporary Arts:
Our beautiful harbour bridge taken from the Sydney Dance Company wharves. There was a Canon photoshop area which gave some tips, and I used those settings to take this photo.
I really wanted to go on this but no one wanted to with me 😦
